Job Title: Youth Liaisons (3 available positions)

Department:  Health

Reports To:  Prevention & Health Promotion Supervisor                 

 Youth Liaisons will serve as student representatives for their local community prevention coalition in order to bring teen perspective to prevention and health promotion efforts. They will participate in trainings with Health Department staff, their peers, and other members of the coalition. They will help develop a plan to prevent youth substance use and abuse by providing outreach through the Crook County Students Against Destructive Decisions chapter. Development and implementation of an outreach plan will be conducted in partnership with Youth Leaders and Adult Champions in Crook County and include presentations to community leaders, students, and the public. The schedule for this position will average 6 hours per week and will be flexible to accommodate student school and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 9th grade and current high school student

  • Experience working as part of a group or team to accomplish a shared goal

     Salary Range:  $10.89 – $11.21/hr
